PHP Web Developer/Programmer (Sydney)

We looking for a PHP Web Developer/ Programmer to join our fun loving and fast growing company. We craft custom web development projects and content managed web sites for a wide range of clients both nationally and overseas. We are fanatical about web standards and web development best practices and are looking for someone to share our passion.

Mandatory skills required:

  • 3+ years commercial development experience
  • Strong track record in PHP development
  • Excellent English language skills

Bonus skills:

  • Familiarity with (or a willingness to learn) the symfony PHP Framework (or similar such as Cake or Zend) and working knowledge of PEAR
  • An understanding of web services and associated technologies
  • Some experience with source control (CVS, SVN)
  • Experience with MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX, XHTML/CSS and W3C compliant web development/design
  • Web design skills and experience with design software such as Photoshop

  • Highly motivated, efficient and well organised
  • You must work well in a team environment but also be able to work independently
  • An ability to work within project deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be an Australian Permanent Resident

Search Engine Marketing Assistant (Sydney)

Amplify, a leading Australian Search Marketing firm is looking for a unique individual who loves life and can provide a range of skills to fit a dynamic and growing role as a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Assistant in Sydney. This is your chance to get in to one of the hotest digital marketing spaces in Australia today.

  • Work with the Search Marketing team to create, analyse and report the effectiveness of search campaigns, e-mail, and online advertising,
  • Assist with developing clients advertising response through search engine marketing campaigns, email marketing and search engine optimization
  • Manage keyword selection and bidding strategy across multiple search engines
  • Create and test ad copy and advise on landing page selection
  • Manage and analyse paid search campaign performance on an ongoing basis to ensure campaigns are maximizing CTR (Click Through Rate) and conversions and minimizing CPC (Cost Per Click) and Acquisition Costs
  • Develop ongoing measurement and reporting of all search engine marketing activities
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role you will have relevant work experience in the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) industry, have prior experience in a similar role and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Minimum 1 year experience in an another marketing role and or a degree in advertising or marketing

  • Demonstrable people skills
  • A keen curiosity and willingness to understand the online consumer
  • A desire to challenge the status quo and to achieve ground-breaking results
  • Desire and ability to learn search engine marketing, optimisation, and other areas of interactiveMMarketing
